The online application process for Early French Immersion (Junior Kindergarten entry) is open until November 29, 2024. Children born in 2021 are invited to apply now for spots for September 2025. Apply here.

Early French Immersion information is available in 21 languages here.

Early French Immersion is offered at 79 schools across the TDSB. Bussing is provided free of charge in JK-grade 5 based on TDSB distance criteria. School location information is posted here. 

Important: all on-time applicants are offered a placement in the Early French Immersion program, however placement in a particular school is not guaranteed. To reserve the spot, the offer of placement must be accepted by the deadline given in the offer email. Younger siblings of students already in Early French Immersion must do an online application and select the 'sibling option'.

Note: the TDSB offers Early French Immersion starting in Junior Kindergarten and Middle French Immersion starting in grade 4. The Middle French Immersion application period is in January. Students not enrolled in French Immersion start Core French in grade 4. The TDSB no longer offers grade 4 or grade 7 entry Extended French.
